Click on internet explorer. Then select the tool button which is on the right hand side. From the drop down menu select internet options, then choose privacy tab and check the box which displays turn on pop up blocker and click on OK.
If you are still seeing Pop up then click on setting under privacy Tab. Then from the drop down menu select High: Block all pop ups.

How to stop pop up when using Chrome

In case of chrome the browser automatically block pop ups and show the blocked pop-ups alert icon in the address bar.
You can check that this is in place by opening Chrome->Options on right hand side->Setting->Advanced setting->Content setting under privacy->scroll down to choose all or no pop up. You can manage pop ups under manage exceptions.
