Import yahoo messages

Import your Yahoo Mail messages and contacts to gmail

Copy all the messages that you want to transfer from Yahoo Mail Trash and Spam folder to Yahoo Mail Inbox

Click the settings gear in Gmail account

Select settings from the e drop down

Go to Account and Import tab

Click Import mail and contact under Import mail and contacts

If you have already imported mail, Click import from another address

Enter the Yahoo Mail address under what account do you want to import from

Click Continue

Type your yahoomail password under Enter the password

Click continue

Check import contacts and import mail

To get all your Yahoomail messages in Gmail for a month, Check Import new mail for next 30 days

Check Add label to all imported mail

This label allows you to easily spot all imported mail in one place. You can remove the label from individual messages later or delete it.

Messages imported from Yahoo Mail folders other than your inbox will get a label derived from folder name. All mail imported from Yahoo Mail Clients folder will have the Migrated/ client label after import for e.g.

Mails in draft, Spam and trash folder will not be imported

All messages and contact will still be present in Yahoo Mail after the import.

Click Start import

Click Ok
